How to Battle an Ideology
With Joshua Lisec, author of Unhumans: The Secret History of Communist Revolutions
How powerful is language manipulation?
I originally invited Joshua Lisec on to discuss writing because of his book So Good They Call You Fake Command Attention, Monetize Your Talent Stack, and Become the Uncontested Authority in Your Niche. But we ended up speaking about a different kind of language manipulation— his most recent book, Unhumans: The Secret History of Communist Revolutions.
We discuss how philosophy shapes a society, the evolution of marxism in society, soft vs hard power, dangers of far right and far left, and some interesting history nuggets of communist propaganda in the Americas.
Joshua authored over 90 books, mostly ghostwriting famous titles you’ve definitely heard of.
Joshua is a conservative who speaks straight and some of what he says may not jive with your beliefs. But in the current political climate, I feel it’s especially important to 1) recognize the workings of ANY ideology on a population, 2) listen to intelligent people that you do not agree with.
